 Some soldiers were ambushed and killed in the North East last week by Boko Haram men leading to their colleagues rising against their General Officer Commanding. The fallen soldiers were buried today. 
May their souls rest in peace...Amen.

Suspected Killers Of Prince Noel Tochukwu Arrested In Imo State


Alleged killers of Prince Noel Tochukwu Unegbu, the US-based CEO of Imo Got Talent, who was shot dead in his room at Rapour Hotel in Owerri on February 4th, have been arrested and were paraded on Tuesday February 18th by the Imo State police command.

According to the police, the suspects - 22 year old Eze Charles Nnamdi and 20 year old Maduabuchi Augustine, both students of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education (AIFCE), Owerri, are yet to reveal why they killed Prince. But already, two locally-made shot single barrel guns, 2 live cartridges and 2 axes were recovered from one of the suspect, Eze Charles Nnamdi. Click on KEEP READING to continue...

Akolade Arowolo after found guilty sentenced to death by hanging for killing his banker wife


Arowolo Akolade, the man who stabbed his banker wife to death on Friday June 24, 2011 after a domestic dispute at their home in Isolo, Lagos, has been found guilty of her murder and has been sentenced to death.

Akolade appeared before trial judge Justice Lateefat Okunnu of the Ikeja High Court this morning Friday Feb. 21 and was found guilty on one-count of murder. The judge said the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that he killed his wife.

“I pronounce the defendant guilty and accordingly sentenced to death,” Justice Okunnu pronounced. Akolade burst into tears after the verdict was read.

Akolade and Titilayo had been married for only two years and had a young daughter when he brutally attacked her with a knife on his birthday after they argued. Arolowo claimed in court that Titi had attacked him with the knife and eventually turned the knife on herself. The court didn’t subscribe to his story. See his narration below...

Anti-Gay Law: United States threatens to sanction Nigeria


Nawao....this people no wan leave us alone...The United States has threatened to scale down its support for HIV/AIDS and anti-malaria programmes in response to the Federal Government’s position on the gay rights issue.

Leading western countries piled pressure on the Federal government, yesterday, following President Goodluck Jonathan’s signing of the Same-Sex Prohibition Act 2014. The latest country is the United States of America, whose Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr James Entwistle threatened that  the United States will scale down its support for HIV/AIDS and anti-malaria programmes in response to the Federal Government’s position on the gay rights issue. President Jonathan confirms Tukur’s resignation as PDP Chairman

 
The resignation of the chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur has been confirmed by the President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. The President announced this today been Thursday Jan. 16th during the meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) which took place inside the Presidential Villa.
“He is not guilty of any offence and I am going to give him an assignment that is even tougher than the PDP Chairmanship,” The President told members of NEC.
The President reportedly announced that Tukur’s successor will be chosen from the North East and the new chairman will most likely be announced next Monday.

Alhaji Bamanga Tukur is still the chairman of PDP. His media aide just released a statement denying earlier reports that he's resigned. 
“Be informed that contrary to the report making waves in the internet and other social media, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur has not tendered any resignation letter to any person or quarter as the National Chairman of the Party. 'My Son Lied Against Pastor Fireman" - Mother of Virgin Killer Speaks








2 days ago you read about the controversial Lagos pastor Sign Fireman been arrested by Lagos police over the alleged ritual murder of a 12 year old girl, Bose Ogoja, after the girl's killer, 18 year old Ikechukwu claimed he killed her following instructions from Pastor Sign Fireman. (If you missed it, read it here). Well, the boy's mother has spoken out and says her son has never met the founder and Head Pastor of Perfect Christian Mission.

Mrs Esther Egbo told reporters yesterday that they were members of the Badagry branch of Fireman's church and in the two years they've been in the church, they have never set eyes on the man. She said her son had been arrested four different times by the police for attempted rape and had even been charged to court and was only released on December 10, 2013. Continue...

High Court Bombed In Rivers State
A High Court in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State South-South of Nigeria was bombed and set ablaze this morning Monday January 6th by unknown arsonists, according to reports from the state.

Metro Naija reports:

African Examiner gathered that the High Court was bombed shortly before a case against Hon. Evans Bipi was due to commence.

The case to be heard by Justice Charles Wali is to seek an injunction seeking to restrain Hon. Bipi from parading himself as the speaker of the River State House of Assembly. Continue after this cut...

26yr old Emeka Rodney declared MTN Young Designer of the Year 2013

26 year old Rodney Emeka, the Creative Director of McMeka, won the MTN Young Designer of the Year competition at the Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2013. He runs McMeka, a Lagos based menswear design label which solely focuses on bespoke tailoring which he founded in Sept. 2011. 
The young PH bred designer came up against formidable names like Waneami, Diana aLa Vid (DLV), Ayo Van Elmar, Reni Smith, Ladunni Lambo, Sho by Adesola Obebe, Tumilla by Tumi Ladega, Kenneth Ize and Siaiano who were also shortlisted as finalists for the MTN Young Designer of the Year. However, his hard work and resilience paid off and he was crowned the winner. See more of his designs below....

Queen Okafor, One of Nigeria's hairiest women, tells her story


26 year old Queen Okafor is one of the hairiest women in Nigeria. In an interview with Sunday Sun the Anambra state born lady said she was born without much hair on her body, but gradually began sprouting them five years ago, at age 21.

In this Sun interview, Queen talks about the challenges of living with such unique features and how she's dealt with it all these years. Find her sad and heartwarming story below...
“My name is Queen Nonyerem Okafor. I am from Anambra State. We are five children from our parents, three girls and two boys. I inherited the hairs from my mum and it runs in the family. Once you get to 21 to 23 years  in our family, you start experiencing hair growth. I am 26 years old now, when I was in secondary school, much hairs were not on my body. It started when I finished my secondary school. I am not granting you this interview as if I need help or money, no! I want to tell my story and what it means to be a hairy woman. All I need is for an NGO to take up my case as a woman with abnormal conditions and also to act in the movie industry.”

Tundun Abiola's ex husband, Atama Attah remarries, marries presidential aide


A few months after his divorce from one of the daughter's of late Chief MKO, Tundun Abiola was finalized, popular socialite and businessman Atama Attah has remarried. He married Josephine Washima, President Jonathan's Special Adviser on Job Creation, on Saturday December 21.
Tundun, who is one of the most prominent Abiola daughters married Benue State-born Atama Attah  at an opulent ceremony that held in London in May 2009 (Their wedding photos are online). They separated last year after only three years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized this year. The former couple have two children.

Plane that broke down on Abuja runway was carrying bulletproof cars


The Saudi Arabian plane that broke down on the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport on the 4th of December leading to the closure of the airport for over 20 hours was carrying 5 set of bulletproof cars weighing 58 tonnes and another set of five bullet proof cars weighing 42 tonnes, according to the Saudi Arabian Embassy.

In a bid to clear the air, the Embassy released a press release stating the content and who owned them. The statement in part reads 
“The goods were a portion of a supply contract for 10 bullet-proof cars to a government agency in Nigeria, which were to be conveyed from Sharjah (UAE) via Abuja, through Fast Forward Cargo US UAC, to Defence Industries of Nigeria (DICON), 45 Ahmadu Bello Way, Kaduna, through the company’s contact person: Mr Nwajpudu Livinston/CCC. The goods were manufactured in South Africa.”
The aircraft broke down at about 9.19 pm on the runway immediately it landed. Security officials and agencies have kept mum on the issue since the incident happened.

Mother of two Mariah Carey says she's done having kids and if her husband Nick Cannon wants more children, he will have to get pregnant and have the babies himself.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the 44 year old singer was asked by a fan caller whether or not she and Nick were planning to have more children...
"If Nick could have the babies himself, then yeah, bring 'em on. We love kids," Mariah answered. "Here's the thing: This is real. I'm responsible for the kids for like forever. I look at it like, they didn't ask for this lifestyle but here they are."
"To anyone who has ever carried twins, it is a totally different experience...You don't even know who you are. I had a very difficult pregnancy, but I was alone most of the time. We love Nick, but he's working. He's the hardest-working man in show business."
