Chris Brown
is in trouble once again. The 24-year-old rapper has been arrested for a felony
assault in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Oct. 27, a spokesperson for the D.C.
police department tells Us Weekly.
The "Don't Wake Me Up"
singer allegedly attacked and began punching another man, Christopher
Hollosy, outside the W Hotel. The incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m.,
and no weapons were used.
Hallosy was with another male friend at the time of
the physical altercation.
It appears that law enforcement does
not believe that Brown was under the influence at the time, and he is currently
in custody. Hollosy was brought to a nearby D.C. hospital to be evaluated, but
has since been released. Both Brown and Hollosy will be detained until Monday
when they have a court appearance.
The "Forever" singer is
currently on probation for the beating of now ex-girlfriend Rihanna
from a 2009 incident the night before the Grammy Awards. During a recent
interview with the UK Guardian, Brown opened up about "the Rihanna
incident."
"I had to stop acting like a
little teenager, a crazy, wild young guy," he said during the interview. "But at the same time, I
learned from it, and it was almost like…I wouldn't say it happened for a
reason, but it was something to trigger my mind to be more of a mature adult.
To handle myself in situations, don't throw tantrums, don't be a baby about
it."
On Aug. 16, Brown was also sentenced to complete 1,000 more hours of community
service. The Los Angeles District Attorney accused the entertainer of fudging
with his community service hour records stemming from his hit-and-run accident
in May.
