Despite his suspension from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, by the
Anambra State chapter of the party, the Director General of the Tony
Nwoye campaign organisation, Prince Ossy Ezenwa has maintained that
Nwoye would not participate in the Saturday supplementary election in
the state.
Ezenwa equally stated that considering the conduct of the polls, the
party’s candidate had continuously condemned the role of INEC.
He added that APC, PDP, and LP had made their positions clear and
that they still maintained that the whole election should be cancelled.
He insisted that apart from Idemili-North and some other areas, the November 16 governorship elections in
Anambra should be cancelled entirely.
Anambra should be cancelled entirely.
He expressed hope that Nwoye would regain his victory at the court,
and that even if INEC announced the winner of the election after the
supplementary polls, PDP would not append signature on the result.
Ezenwa did not, however, speak on his suspension by the Anambra State chapter of the party, led by Prince Ken Emeakayi.
The PDP candidate’s Campaign DG had earlier joined the APC and the LP
to call for a boycott of the supplementary election, despite a contrary
view by the national leadership of the party.
